Hi I am from nothwest MN Detroit Lakes mn We are 45miles east of Fargo ND right in the middle of vacation land Detroit Lakes is in Becker County We have 416 lakes in our county that are 8o acers and larger Lots of woods and lakes Cotact Detroit Lakes visiters center by mail phone web site We are home of We Fest The largest country music and camping fest in the US First weekend in Aug over 8000 campsites .Home of a great 4rth of July fest DL street fair in June over 150 venders show their wares for the weekend Just a very nice place It sucks in the winter but our summers more than make up for it Also go to the web page for the state sponcerd vacation guide Minnesota Explorer It covers the whole state and is very informative ,even to those of us how live here Good luck and have fun this summer My wife and I have our camper in a seasonal site at a very nice campground near St Cloud MN just west of the twin cities Let me know if you would like more info The campground we are at my be a good stop off point for ya or a good base fore you While it is not on a lake it is near a lot of them as well as a great deal of other things The CG is also only a few miles from a Camping World and from many many rv dealers of all kinds Talk to you soon? if not have a great summer visiting our state
