Moab, Arches, Canyon Lands and beyond
We are headed to the mighty 5 in the middle of September and was looking for rv campgrounds in and around. This is part of a larger trip as we already have reservations for Yellowstone, Devils Tower, and Mount Rushmore beginning the last week of August for a total of three weeks. After that we were planning on wondering through Utah without reservations starting at the Flaming Gorge area, then the Vernal area and on to Moab and the mighty 5... No time line. Anyway, just looking for campground suggestions. Also, as we leave Mount Rushmore area anything to see and do in Wyoming as we travel down through Casper, Rawlings, and Green River?

We did the same last year (plus others) and I agree with most of the above. Arches & Canyonlands NP - checkout Canyonlands Cmpgd. Dead Horse Pt State Park is nice too but small and may be no openings, especially for a large MH. Gouldings is really the only place near Monument Valley although the Navajos were just completing their own campground last year - kind of sparse yet. Definitely Wahweap if you'll be near Lake Powell.

First let me say it sounds like a Great Trip!
Moab - this is the Info you will need - https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/f...d/29448394.cfm - Ken is the athority on Moab and Colorado.
I always Suggest RT 128 for the best drive along the Colorado River, just special.
Stay on the Green River when In Dino NM. MAP - https://binged.it/2y96BCA
Don't miss the Beartooth Highway for a day drive along with Chief Joseph Hwy. Cody is fun and the Wal*Mart will allow you to resupply.
We LOVE the Drive down Wind River Canyon, between Thermopolis and Shoshone - River flows North and as you drive South see if you don't get the feeling the river is running UP Hill! Great Hot Springs in Thermopolis. CG right on the River.
In Custer enjoy the Emerald Cave and the Custer SP, and Sylvan Lake..
While this is likely not in your Plan I'd seriously think about getting into some of Colorado and seeing the Aspen as they change in Late September - https://lynn.smugmug.com/Travel/Colo...pens/i-tsVRkXg - Something like this would be well worth the effort - https://binged.it/2y6HTCI
The one thing I'd really push is getting to some elevation in Colorado From the 18th to the 30th those Aspen might just be the Best Eye Candy ever.
Hope this is of some help.
Best of Luck,
