September will most likely be warm. It's always busy. Have fun!

We try to spend a month in Colorado and go back through Moab and spend a week or ten days when we leave Colorado. Generally in Moab mid-September. We Jeep, and temperature is in 80's to low 90's with very low humidity, so it is rather pleasant compared to Texas.

Best time to go is Mid April to maybe early June. It is hot between those times!

Because people are finding out it is hot in the summer months, more people are coming early and September. Advise, call and make reservations early. Last year because of issues of people traveling with us, we did not call until about Labor Day. Place we usually stay was full. Called several other places and finally found one place that had a space for 5 days. I don't recall seeing so many signs at RV parks, "Sorry-Full" on that trip.

I would expect it to busy in Sep. If you don't mind some boonedocking, there are some nice BLM campgrounds outside of Moab. We especially enjoyed Ken's Lake. Drove through Horsethief Campground, just outside of the entrance to Canyonlands and there are a few large sites there too. It would be very convenient.for both Canyonlands and Arches. We were there last April.

I'll be there during the 2nd week in October. I'm hoping for weather under 80s since I don't do well in hot weather.
