Moab, UT in october

We are going to be in moab the second week of October and was just wondering what to expect for weather? Is it still super hot during the day, or nice and mild? This will be our first time camping in the desert, cant wait! Any fellow jeepers going to be in the area during that week?

No guarantees on weather, but that's one of our favorite times in Moab - typical runs in the 70/80s, and very pleasant. Good time to hike the back country in the parks.

go to accuweather and they will show the average highs and lows for each day
but if you are like me the clouds and cold seem to follow where ever we travel.

I usually hit Moab from late February to early June then again mid September through November. 2nd week in October should be nice.

We go out every other year the same time in October. It can be warm during the day but does cool down pretty nice at night. Make sure to the the Moab Brewery. Pretty popular watering hole. There are also some awesome Hummer/Jeep tours...

There seems to be quite a few rv parks in and around moab, anybody care to share any "hidden gems" that they always seem to go back to or have been to?

There is a great little park right on the Colorado river. Just a little bit outside of town. I don't know the name of it but it is right at the exit of the Porcupine Rim trail.

Excellent food too! Definitely one of our favorite Moab restaurants/brew pubs!
