Monteagle, Chattanooga, Atlanta tomorrow

Hey there! We will be traveling through the Chatanooga area tomorrow and can stop at any place North of the city or even a little bit South toward Atlanta. I've seen some places around Monteagle as well.

Anyone have a recommendation?

Thanks!

Bill and Jenny

We have stayed at the Best Holiday Trav-L-Park | Chattanooga, TN - RV Parks and Campgrounds in Tennessee - Good Sam Camping several times. Nice campground with large pull thru sites, however the road to the campground is bit narrow.

Another would be Raccoon Mt. campground on the north side of Chattanooga just off I24 towards Nashville. If there be sure to take the drive up Raccoon Mountain

I forget the CG name/ now I remember, it was Holiday travel park just after leaving I 24 onto I 75, then a few miles South on West side of I 75. Very convenient off/on. Our Dually and 40' 5er fit easily. On the East side of I 75, same exit I think, Is Camping World of Chattanooga with a FHU CG that is also big rig friendly.
Indiana is a good place to be FROM this winter, just as last. I'm about 40 miles West of you.

The Georgia welcome center at the state line south of Chattanooga on I-75 is huge if you just want to stop for a few hours or even an overnite.

It is done all the time. Infact, one on 75 just north of Macon is set up with area specifically for RVs. Dump area and water source.

Have not overnited at Chattanooga but have in southern Georgia and others

Thanks Wild Bill, we may get to that at some point!

Hey Wizard, the Racoon Mt one looked pretty good...thanks for all the info

Ray, I've seen you on before and yeah now's a great time to be out of Indiana. Sounds like you hit the Camping World stores often like I do.

Doc I didn't get into the Welcome Center but that sounds like a really great feature to be able to stop over. We may very well need that one of these trips.

Thanks to all....great info and quick.....why I love this forum. Maybe I'll see some of you at the Tampa show this coming week?

Bill
