We also stayed at Gouldings and took their tour...it was great. Next time we want to go out with one of the locals who give tours. The scenery and history are amazing and magical. Don't miss it! Now I want to go back!!☺️

Just a suggestion..but if you've never been to Monument Valley after a snow...well it's pretty spectacular. Sort of like seeing the Grand Canyon and all the layers of white going down the canyon walls.

visiting monument valley is like going to a cathedral. its worth the visit. i try to get there a couple of times a year, just for the experience.
the jeep tour is more than worth the money. the self guided tour is great, but the jeep tour gets you up close to the ruins, and some of the formations.
stay at goulding, the movies are great. there is a new visitors center, and museum.

We stayed at Goldings and enjoyed it, but opted for a tour with Spirit Tours which was the highlight of our stay:

The tour was intimate (only 4 people) and took us to parts of the valley that few people see. The lady leading the tour even sang Navajo opera for us in one of their sacred caves. It was, simply put, amazing. Totally worth the money!
