We are at Moorings overlooking Penobscot Bay,beautiful view and it looks and feels like fall up here. We'll be here a week then head up to Bar Harbor,no telling where we'll head to next but will be at the Nor'Easters rally in NH Columbus Day weekend. We got an email from Jim and Sandy and heard they were still in Me.and going to spend the night at a Wal-Mart.We ended up meeting up with them for a short visit. You never know who you will run into to!

Have a friend who visits family in ME several times a year. They live very near Belfast. She does not camp but if she retires end of year thinking about renting or buying something she would use seasonally (about 6 months). Divorced, no kids, says RE pretty expensive but she loves Belfast/Searsport area. I told her to think about buying a TT she could lease site at Moorings and leave it in place. They have a nice website with rates, etc. Sounds lovely. Restaurant too

Now I remember, the name of the restaurant, its Pappa J's. Excellent cocktails, and food Not to mention a perfect view
We stay at Searsport Family CG, really nice folks, and just up the road. If you get up there try the new bridge on Rt 1 or Rt A1A going to Bucksport, it has a great observation deck in one of the support towers

Hi DiandTom!
You're right, that's a beautiful place!! Did you eat lobster at Young's Lobster Pound yet? Neat place.

Do you have reservations for Bar Harbor? There is a great CG there..Bar Harbor CG...does not take reservations but usually has lots of nice large sites for about half the price of most of the other CG's.
Hope you have a great time!
