MORE winter camping in SPRING!

After sleeping on top of 7" of snow with the Scouts last weekend, I have another camping trip with about 30 of our brand new, 11-year-old Scouts who are going on their first camping trip!

Last week was a backpack trip with older Scouts (see pics below). This weekend we are 'car camping' so we are able to bring some luxuries like Dutch Ovens for warm Apple Crisp on Saturday night.

I remember those days, loved every minute of it as a scout, ate alot of dirt on many camping trips(droping food on ground or in fire) We didn't any fancy nylon tents with floors, we had some army surplus baker tents, and when we hiked in we had CANVAS overniter tents, without floors. Now that we have the RV I'm spoiled.
