Spent the weekend at Moss Landing (between Santa Cruz and Monterey) this weekend. This park is really nice and right near the ocean, but is normally a little expensive. However, in winter they have a "pay for 2 nights, get the 3rd night free" deal which made it very affordable for this area.

Great Mexican restauraunt around the corner, plus the weather was perfect for day trips to Santa Cruz and the Monterey Aquarium.

We've looked that place and thought the same thing, being a little pricey. Just last night we were at "The Whole Enchalada" the mexican place you wrote about. We are currently at "The Betabel RV Resort" off of 101 in San Juan Bautista. In space number 3, look us up if you get in the area. We'll be here off and on for the next 4 or 5 months. We are headed up to Half Moon Bay in a few weeks to spend 3 nights at the Pillar Point RV pace right off of Hi-way 1 near Princeton and just got back from Chula Vista a few week ago. We took a look at the Pelican RV place about 5 miles south near the golf course but didn't like it enough to stay. Kinda run down. Have safe travels out there.

I'm soory we missed a chance to meet you, but we were only there for 3 nights, and are now back home at Lake Berryessa. In February, we intend to go down south the the CA deserts (somewhere--no decisions made yet) for about a month or more.

We also signed up (through Good Sam) to be campground hosts this year, and have received material from New Mexico possibly offering us a place there. Has anyone else ever done this? I'd be pleased to hear about your experiences.

Gary,
do you think my 40 footer would fit in? We would like to stop in to that area soon... maybe before the winter rates go away.

They have a number of long pads that should accomodate a 40 footer. I'd give them a call and check first. Their winter rates go through March 31. Website is http://www.mosslandingrvpark.com/.

Have fun, don't forget to visit the Monterey Aquarium.

They have very wide streets with no obstructions, and large spaces. Your 40 footer will fit just fine.
