Most scenic route North out of Vancouver, BC
Will be North up 99 out of Vancouver, BC about the middle of April, we have all summer? 37ft DP and Toad. Our preferences are rustic over cities, unless it is a quaint little town. Any MUST SEES along the way? I am attaching the route I was planning for, but it is open to being changed. Good Route / Bad Route? Comments?

route
that is good route if you are not in a hurry leaving mt currie it is a good climb to get on the duffy lake road over to lilloet and a sharp descent to liiloet if you are comfortable with switchbacks and mountain driving no problem. If you are comfortable with gravel roads continue on to clinton and then go thru gang ranch to riske creek and williams lake awesome area of BC, continue on from williams lake to Dawson creek, then your choice alaska or edmonton alberta then wherever your heart desires. I would recommend you start your trip in May rather than April weather is tricky

First it looks like I fat fingered it again it will be the middle of June.
Duffy lake road is 99 correct? It looks like we're talking the same route when I search cities. I was planning 99 to 97 and north to Dawson creek. Then on to Alaska! I was expecting Mountains but How much of it is gravel? Visit friends in Vancouver then Alaska, plan is 3 months. How many days Vancouver to Dawson creek? Thanks

Hwys 99 and 97 are paved unless there is construction. Your route is 720 miles 18-20 hrs.

may have mislead you only gravel would be Gang Ranch to Riske Creek a very nice drive if you are comfy with gravel roads camp where it looks good. Travel time from Vancouver to Dawson Creek about 13 hrs hard driving in a car all paved easy road. Plan 3-4 days in Moho and spend day/night at Barkerville check out lakes and camping areas around Mackenzie you wont be disappointed

What would you recommend for diesel fuel stops on the route from Vancouver to Dawson creek on Hwys 99 and 97. One stop should make it but 2 would be more relaxing! Should be able to get 300 mi. on top half of tank? 400mi on the flat land.
Thanks

Try this train ride in Lilloet when you pass through. Campground right close to station and the Seton Lake ride is amazing for views.

fuel up in whistler or pemberton and you will have lots to make it into the next major town refill at Prince george and you will have no concerns for the leg to Dawson Creek

You got no fuel issues.
Traveled towing heavy from Chilliwack to home in Chetwynd, then to Dawson city Yukon. Only issue was fuel at the most expensive fuel on Alaska hwy near Liard Hot Springs. Did all this with factory fuel tank of 31 gal with a thirsty cummins. ( okay, had 2 jerry cans in back for emergency).
