My wife and I were thinking about traveling to Mount Airy on vacation . Is there enough to do and see in this area to spend a week there? Also what are the campgrounds like , any good ones?

Thanks

I don't know that there's enough in Mt. Airy itself to keep you occupied for a week...unless you're really into Andy Griffith reruns.

But if you happen to enjoy the fruit of the grape, you'll be at the head of the Yadkin valley which has numerous wineries, and some are very, very good.

A nice CG I can recommend is located south of Mt. Airy in Boonville: Holly Ridge Family CG.

Hope this helps.
