Mountian Lakes Resort, Alabama
We are going to take out first weekend trip in a couple of weeks to Mountian Lakes Resort. I know that I'll have to listen to the sales pitch. But, I've got good resistance to salesmen.
Anyone ever been there? Anything we need to look out for or must see while in the area?

Be prepared for HIGH PRESSURE. Run, don't walk away when the pressure builds. This is part of 1000 trails. They sell all kinds of packages. Try their ZONE PASS for a year 1st. About 199 bucks and gives you 30 nites free (yea rite) See what the exclusions are. how many days in a park. Usually 7 in and then you have to be out of any of their parks for 7 days. Some plans are 14 days in and 7 days out. so look at the little print. You can go online and purchase used campground memberships (people quit or died). Annual memberships with dues anywhere from 349 annually to 8 or even 900 bucks. Shop and see what you are getting. Most are FOREVER, meaning weather you use the parks or not you have to PAY Forever. another reason memberships are for sale. READ and UNDERSTAND what you are purchasing. good luck, ed

That's what I thought a couple years ago when I stayed the weekend at lazy Days campground because I couldn't find anything closer.
The DW started looking at all the "pretty" coaches....Good luck ,let us know how the park is,And what you bought

I didnt see this park on the thousand trails site for places to camp.
to my own regret i have a tt membership....frankly their lack of upkeep at our favorite preserves has had us quite irritable
we asked the heads about it and they told us all the new folks retiring arent going rving, but instead doing more vacation packages and rooms, so $$ is going into condos and pre-placed cottages on the preserves vice rv spots

At your age you should have known better.
I know, she talked you into just what you wanted.
