Mt Saint Helen Wa
We are on our way to Mt Saint Helen and need to find a camp site to accommodate a 40 footer. Anyone have any suggesting a good camp site to stay for a few days?

Talked with these folk at the Redmond FMCA Convention. They are very close to Mt St Helens & just off I-5. Toutle River RV Resort| Toulte River RV Resort, Castle Rock Washington Camping Overnight, Washington RV Resorts
Thousand Trails Centralia is also pretty close. You could do their sales pitch if you are not a member.

Going up toward the volcano there is a camp ground on the left on a hill behind the Gulf Station (I think).... good place to stay. we stay there every time we go to St Helens.
I suggest the following places to eat without using their names.
there is a Mexican joint on the left as you turn off I 5 toward the mountain .food here is real good.
If you turn right and go toward town there is a chinese place on the right at the stop lite that serves genuine Chinese food and it is wonderful. The only person that speaks english is a little girl about 12 years old. Try the Won Ton soup and be houngry cause you get a LOT....
Mt St.Helen is really changing.... we were out there when the first started letting people into the park and it is un believable how it is changing every year. Mother Nature is smoothing out the land and healing all the scars. It is amazing how it has changed in such a short time.
'
note. the reason I did not use ''names'' is because I am old and cant remember the names of the places.

Can 't remember the name of the gas station either, but the campground is Mount St. Helens Rv Park. The park is OK, and it's very convenient to national park.
