And a shout out for RVParkReviews. Looks like the October 12 post was removed, at least it is not there today....

Hey, you can't honestly expect me to keep up with four pages of mostly short easy to digest posts before I post the one that shows I didn't go back to see the other side of the story?

DO YOU?

1bigmess,

Okay, you got me with the white flag! The unusual thing about this thread is that in this particular case we appear to have actually HEARD from the other side! That doesn't happen too often, but it's kind of nice when it does. Wish it would happen more often though.

I have been known to respond to a thread once or twice asking a question or suggesting a remedy/etc when a more thorough perusal of the thread would have shown that either my question was already asked, my remedy was already suggested, or that more information revealed in subsequent post rendered my input immaterial, or just plain incorrect! But don't tell that to my wife, okay?

Always a prudent policy. But experience has shown that a side of the story that starts out with "...I was just sitting there minding my own business...." is immediately suspect.

Of course, but that one time, where the person that says that is telling the truth...

Very few people can or will tell a story without their personal perspective influencing what happened. Perhaps their mind thought they were being quiet but their mouth was not listening to the brain at that time.

This type of behavior is not and will not be tolerated. After you were gone from the campground, I was thanked by the camper in the site next to you as you had hit his truck with your car (observed by his son) and had been pacing threateningly in front of his site with your taser. We are perfectly ok with you not returning to our campground.

Jackie Jackson
Manager

We are here now. My DW may have observed a very foul mouthed belligerent camper leaving this KOA and she came back to our Bus somewhat concerned but more curious than worried about this incident. We were amazed when we read the OP post and then Jackie's response.
This is a great campground. We checked this place out several times because it's just down go street from our sons house. We've brought our 2 year old granddaughter down to enjoy both of the playgrounds on site. Everyone in the front office has been outstanding in dealing with us. Billy, Margaret and Jackies are all very customer service centered. I once listened to Jackie try to help a camper with directions to the campground even when the camper had no idea where they were currently at. She was patient, caring and frankly amazingly polite. I would have hung up on that camper and told them to find out where they were before calling me back.
They tell you to leave your trash out by your site sign and they will pick it up and they do, many times a day. And everyone in a yellow KOA shirt waves and says hi.
We'll be here until mid December and won't hesitate to come back. It's clean, we'll run, and quiet.

If you remember, it probably didn't actually happen.

I've never heard anyone outside of EMS or LE use that term, and I have not heard it in the years since leaving EMS.
