Regarding RV Places to stay in the Olympia area. There is the Lucky Eagle Casino that has an RV park. This is on Hwy 12, just about 5 miles past Rochester. They have full hook-ups. There is another park along HWY 2 before Rochester but the name escapes me at present. The drive from Lucky Eagle to Oly is about 30 minutes. The other RV parks in the area are pretty mediocre. As others have noted, it is a long drive from Oly to the Olympic National Park. It's been several years since we've been there but IIRC it is a three hour trip each way. It is a beautiful drive, but slow.
