myrtle beach koa

just got back from a 4 day stay at the myrtle beach koa. the staff there could not have been nicer. i have a 10 and a 7 year old and they loved riding their bikes and scooters around the park. did not even leave the park the first 2 days, nothing like grilling at a campground to help you relax. just 3 hours from home, myrtle beach never disappoints whether i stay at ocean lakes, pirateland, koa, doesn't seem to matter. attitude is everything.

We also love Myrtle Beach. It is a 7 hr or so trip for us here in VA but always enjoy going there. We've stayed at Ocean Lakes and Myrtle Beach Travel Park....both are nic....Ocean Lakes has many concrete pads which is a plus; MBTP has a great little restaurant called 'Breakfast at the Beach' and they have some killer waffles. Never did the KOA but guess that puts you right in the middle and close to most everything.

weather

the weather was actually pretty good. it's never gonna be as cold at mb as it is where you guys are. unless it's raining you can always get out and do things. just ask driver he lives there. it may not be south florida weather, but the people are a whole lot friendlier.

I HOPE you were a lot warmer than I was at Va. Beach this past week- 20* and snow, wind & ice. I did get to watch the Fleet return to Norfolk from the middle east. 7 ships in line. 1/2 day before the storm hit. Conventions are fun but not weather wise. I've always enjoyed MB anytime. Glad you enjoyed it.
