we want to go to myrtle beach for the shows, but want to see the regular shows not the christmas shows. does anyone know when the non-christmas shows stop. i understand there is also a period of time when there are no shows between the regular and the prep for the christmas shows, also what is your choice of campground that is closet to the shows. thanks

I highly recommend both the Carolina Opry and the Alabama Theatre shows...both top rate. The Carolina Opry has two shows...their regular variety show and a second show called 'Good Vibrations.' Both are outstanding.

You can go to their websites and get all the info you need on show schedules....also select seating and buy tickets.

we took the trip to myrtle beach and enjoyed it, took in 3 shows. carolina opra, alabama, and legends, having been to bransom for the shows we were really disappointed, alot of talented people but song selections were poor, of the three we liked the show at the legends theater. food was really good in myrtle beach, especially the sea food. we stayed at lakewood and found it to be ok, just wished the sites were paved. we thought the highways in south carolina were poorly kept up with lots of roughness and pot holes.
