Myrtle Beach - Spring Break?

We were planning to take a quick trip to Myrtle Beach March 20 - 26 but just realized that it's the same time as spring break. We have never been there and have no concrete destination although Ocean Lakes sounds very nice. I'm just wondering what the impact of Spring Break is to the area in general.

This time of year a lot of Canadians visit MB. Ocean lakes is family oriented and they don't allow wild parties. I think you will enjoy it there.

You better check for reservations they fill up fairly quick. You can do online but this late I would call their office. I would not take a chance just showing up. It is a good family campground. They have lots to do, but they do fill up pretty quick. Have fun. We have reservations in June and we go twice a year and love it.

If Ocean Lakes is full, Lakewood and Pirateland are right there in the same vicinity. Try them as well. Ocean Lakes is our first choice, but we have stayed at Lakewood and found it more than acceptable. I have a good friend who swears by Pirateland as well.

Good luck!

I go almost every year for spring break and have never had a problem. It also looks like you are going earlier then most for spring break. I could be wrong, but most people in my area are off the following week. Either way, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Looks like I jinxed myself...... Just got back from Oceanlakes. I had my cooler STOLEN and multiple people driving their GOLF CARTS thru my site (fast). They didnt follow the park rules or even basic respect. Security was non existent. I have been there for several spring breaks and never had an issue.

We decided to leave two days early! I spoke to the manager and was told that they would give me a free night stay during non peak times. Now we are trying to decide if we want to go back.

Our thought is that we don't want to let one bad trip ruin out stay. We have had many great trips there.

We are in a similar situation. Was getting ready to book Myrtle Beach when I discovered 'Bike Week'. Having been in Daytona for theirs, is the MB one as bad? We are thinking end of April, first two weeeks of May.
