N California Lakes - Shasta or Eagle

Anyone have any comments or recommendations on Shasta lake or Eagle Lake?
We are interested in motorhome camping and houseboats.
Thanks.

No house boats on Eagle Lake. Most of it is pretty shallow. The Draw is the Eagle Lake Trout. There is and RV park there but not much else.

Trinity Lake

Back in the 60's when we lived in Eureka, we use to go to Trinity Lake and camp, back then, we had tents and bro. in law a ski boat. Never did go to the other lakes. Don't know if they have RV facilities or not.

We stayed at shasta a few years ago, in a pretty crowded private rv campground over 4rth of july weeked. Lake was down about 20 feet, still plenty deep, found a place to swim in it, water was nice, saw some houseboats, ski boats, and fishing boats
