Nashville - July 4th

We will be heading to Ohio and Michigan in July. Our first stop looks to be around Nashville, TN. It would be over July 4th weekend ... any recommendations on nice RV "resorts"?

Allstays has Two Rivers Campground rated pretty highly ... made reservations there. Any thoughts? Thanks, Lynn

Nice park. Have stayed there many times when my daughter was at Vanderbilt University. Very close to Oprylandlots to see and do in Nashville if you have the time

We stop in Nashville every year on our way south for the winter and our choice is the KOA. We are not interested in trees potentially damaging our home so the KOA has a section that fits our needs. There are three campgrounds off Music Valley Drive-Koa, Two Rivers, and a Yogi. They are pretty close to each other and all three are on the pricey side. One can take the Downtown Shuttle right from any of these campgrounds for $10 per person round trip. That way, you can have a libation or two and not have to worry about parking or driving.

We have stayed at Two Rivers 3 maybe 4 times. It is nice, has a pool and some nights of the week live music entertainers on the deck behind the office. We'll stay there again on our next trip.

Of the three on Music Valley, Two Rivers is our choice. Stayed there several times...once for two weeks. Pretty much central to attractions in and around Nashville. Cock of the Walk restaurant is a great place on Music Valley Rd. if you like home cook'n. The corn bread there is so good it'll get you in trouble, however.

We have been to Seven Points Campground a couple of times and really like it.

Admittedly it is not exactly downtown Nashville, but it's not to far away in our opinion, and it is nice and quiet and by the water.

Thanks for the heads up on this campground! We had stayed at two rivers years ago and technology have grown since then but I didn't bother to use it I guess and just kept going back to Two Rivers. We go down to visit family which live east of Nashville making this a much closer campground to their residence. Thanks for posting Danes-on-tour!
