Natchez Trace
We will be stopping in Nashville on our way to New Orleans and a friend recommended going down the Natchez Trace. We will be towing a 36 ft. fiver and was wondering if anyone has any experiance towing a camper along this route. There seems to be plenty of campgrounds along the way but is highth a problem.ect. Any insight will be welcomed. Thanks

Was just there last week. No problems pulling anything, there was a lot of RV traffic. Much better than the interstates, but mind the 50 mph speed limit and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

No height problems what so ever! We find it rather narrow with no shoulders and busy around cities. Bicycles around Jackson, MS on a saturday are dangerous!
Will be going from Jackson to Tupelo this Thursday and staying at the Tombigbee State Park for 3 nights ($20 per night with sewer)
Ditto on the speed limit - Park Service allows zero tolerance.......

X2 -- We enjoyed the trace, lots of places / history to stop and see; plan to go slow and enjoy the trip.

We did it a few years ago in a 40 foot fiver and crew cab dually.
LOTS to see
traffic does pick up around tupelo during rush hr.
plenty of parks off the trace to stay the night. Davis lake is a USDA park that is nice, but older so the roads are narrow but we still got in.
look on recreation.gov to get the up to date info.
