Any recommendations on campgrounds near Natchitoches? We're planning a July trip.

What about North Toledo Bend State Park? Any information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Toledo Bend, both north and south ends are very beautiful....if you enjoy State Park camping, you will enjoy Toledo. Another park to consider is Chicot State Park, it is a little more primitive, there are no individual sewers at the site, you have to use community dump. If you are planning to come farther into Louisiana, Sam Houston Jones SP just north of Lake Charles is my personal favorite, lots of trails, free roaming deer, nice fishing...combination of pine and hardwood forest. Lots of duck, swan, geese, all in a natural swamp setting. HINT: ask for the "old" area...you're end to end, with individual side by sides, but individual sewer at each site. The newer area does not have the site sewer, and they are closer together. Enjoy.

I believe the campground we stayed in was Riverside Campground on the Louisiana side of the river and right on the river.
