Are there any suggestions on places to stay along the coast in North Carolina, near the Jacksonville area. thanks you can't stop the dawn

If you don't mind driving a bit, there is a very nice seaside RV park in Emerald Isle, NC. It is the Holiday Travel Park at the southern end of Emerald Isle.

Have you checked for camping at Camp Lejune they used to have one there

If you are visiting a military family member, they should be able to get you in at the FAMCAMP, if there is room, as a guest. Of course, if you are retired military you can call and make reservations.

I tent with a air mattress don't need military involvement too structured and noisy in the morning taps.

We like to stay at Cedar Point, http://www.forestcamping.com/dow/sou...#cedar%20point

It's a USFS campground about 24 mi from the center of Jacksonville, closer to the main entrance of Camp Lejune. Nice CG with a good boardwalk/nature trail through the salt marsh.
