looking for a rv site for this weekend near Wylie/Murphy Texas. We have a 30ft Gulfstream. Government get off their duffs, we might could stay at the Lake Lavon Corp sites (would be ideal). Cable and wifi would certainly be nice. Anyone have any suggestions of where to avoid as well. Thanks deb

I have not camped in that area and cannot give you a first hand report. When looking for a site I often start with googlemaps.com. Like in your case using Wylie, Tx. Then with the map pulled for Wylie, type in RV and select RV Parks. That shows most private RV parks. Or use corps to look at COE parks. Or national parks or forest service. Then use campgroundreviews.com for reviews. Hope this helps.

The choices in that area are slim and none. The closest place that I can think of and have stayed on one occasion is Plantation Place in the Sunnyvale-Mesquite area. Do a google maps search of "rv parks near Wylie, TX", there are 3-4 around the Lavon area.

guess we will take the Nissan instead since I can't find something close to my sister's house. Wish we had the corp on duty this weekend,sigh.
