Is there anything close to downtown Dallas? I found one located about 20 miles east in a town called Sunnyvale. Thanks for any advice on spending a weekend in that area! We want to see the Chinese exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art before it leaves the US.
Cheers, Tee & Dan

Last Sept. when we evacuated for hurricane Ivan we stayed in Lake Joe Pool State Campground. It's located south of Dallas and south of I-20 just far enough to be out of the traffic. The place is nice with paved roads, trees and plenty of space between the campspaces. Since my brother-in-law lives in Arlington, I will camp there again whenever we go to visit.

There is one in Plano on 75 and several on 175 east of dallas. I would suggest those because of the traffic.
