I expect to cross either tomorrow or Friday into Canada from North Dakota heading north on ND 52 into Canada 39. I cannot locate any campgrounds on this route after I leave Minot.

Can someone give me an idea on where to either get a campground or a place to boondock? I am heading for Dawson Creek.

Hi OldHiker,
Your are correct. I can not find anything, on the USA side close to the border. However, on the Canadian side there is Woodlawn Regional Park, Estevan, SK. Contact number is 306-634-2324.

Anybody have a better suggestions as to the route from Jamestown, ND to Dawson Creek? I have to meet up with the Good Sam Caravan no later than June 21st.

Hi OldHiker,

Where in the US are you starting your day when crossinginto Canada? If you are leaving from Minot, you could probably reach Moose Jaw Saskatchewan in one day.
Here is a link to what seems to be a descent place:

I hope this helps.

Head to Saskatoon then NW through Edmonton and up to Dawson. Great route, plenty of overnight spots either CG's or boondock sites.

We crossed at Peace Garden and took Canada #10 North up to Minnesdosa and TransCan 16 NW to Saskatoon. Always found places to stop with our 40' Mtn. Aire towing Honda Element.

Have a wonderful trip...it's a HOOT!!
