need first destination help in North East

We just purchased our first TT (jayco 298 RLDS) and I'm looking for a first destination for a long weekend in the north east. I'm in northern NJ and would like to keep our first trip to 3 or 4 days. (Eastern PA, South NJ, NY,...) A nice view of mountains or water would be a great start with nearby access to hiking. this wikl be my first experience towing as well. Any thoughts would be appreciated. The TT is 33 feet over all.

Otter Lake is a nice place on a lake ( ). But, not a lot of hiking. Timothy Lake South will take the general public (north's plots are smaller and some are harder to get into).
If you go to Otter lake USE their directions. Coming in the other way is tough to be polite.

You should post in the rv forums section either in the crossroads of camping info section. Lots of travelers in the section. Good luck

About 12 years ago a truck enthusiasts website - now known as Diesel Forum - TheDieselStop.com - held a rallye at a big campground near Lake George, NY - just north of Albany. Folks attended from all over, including us from west Texas and others from as far away as Washington State. And a good time was had by all.

And just a few miles west of Lake George is the beginnings of the Adirondack so-called mountains. So both lake and mountains are not far apart.

If Lake George is too far from home, then check out Interlake RV Park near Rheinbeck, about 90 miles from "The City".
