Thank you all, we are starting to plan our route. We have a bunch of great ideas for the trip there and back.

ok, I hate to ask this, but my wife and I are thinking of going to Grayton Beach SP. She is deathly afraid of snakes and I would like to ask someone who has stayed there if this would be a problem. I know it is a wooded area so I think that it might be a possibility. Also we love the Red Bar and was wondering if it is walking distance from the park? PS...I don't like them either.

2X for the Naval Aviation Museum aboard NAS Pensacola. You can actually touch the a/c....Stearman trainers, F14, P40, Zero, Corsair and so on. The FIRST A/C across the Atlantic the NC-4 is on display. They have a complete bar/grill that they brought over from the Phillipines for a reasonable lunch fare. A mock carrier deck with a/c on final approach right over your head. 40 mm anti aircraft guns, tour guides, great military gear shopping and its all free. IMAX theatre and they just opened up a huge new airconditioned hangar for the larger a/c that used to be outside.
A must see venue. And the Blues generally practice on Sherman field Wed & Thurs right next to the museum and then sign autographs after.
