Anyone have experience staying at Elkhorn CG in Frankfort &/or Cave Country in Cave City?
They both got top reviews on another website, website photos of the CG's show sites that appear large enough to accomodate a motorhome w/toad & they both look relatively easy to get to. I'm looking for judgments, good or bad, from any of our members that've stayed at either of these places.
Thanks, in advance, for the help.

Aw, come on. With 28,000+ members, I can't believe someone hasn't been to one of these campgrounds at one time or another.

NLOVNIT.. we stayed at Cave Country in Aug.'06 when the CG was still very new. It was big rig friendly and the managr was very knowlegable about the area. Just minutes from Mammoth Cave National park. There was a working frieght train track about a quarter mile or so from the CG but I found the sound relaxing. We only spent a couple of days there on the way to TN. Cracker Barrel close by. Hope this helps.

Elkhorn CG in Frankfort is a pretty nice campground. Some of the sites back up to the Elkhorn Creek. These creek side sites are W&E only. They do have FHU but not on the Creek. They have the dump station. Very easy to get to & good place to sight see in the Capital of KY. Owners enforce their rules pretty close.
Also, I think all the electric is only 30AMP.

We stayed at Elkhorn CG last September. We backed up to the river and enjoyed that location but there were pull through sites nearby. Very well kept facility.

Thanks much, folks!
Now, onto getting those brochures from the KY Dept of Tourism to plan my tourist activities.
BTW, welcome to iRV2, Mud Flaps. Glad you posted.
