Chisos basin in Big Bend NP is an awesome oasis in a sea of desert scrub, but its a steep up hill climb with switchbacks that aren't big RV friendly.

RV's over 24 feet long are not recommended in the Chisos Basin:

I made in my 23 foot motorhome but the campground was full. The sites are small. We stayed in Rio Grande Village and liked it but it not as scenic as Chisos. Nice hike to the river, though. RGV campground is closed until 9/1/17. I believe it is the only campground in the park with hook ups.
