Hi Frank, another question. Is the first weekend in September (Labor Day weekend here in US) a big camping weekend in Nova Scotia and PEI?

Yes the Labour Day weekend is a very big camping weekend as for some families its the end of camping for the season as the kids are back in school.

We are in planning phase for very similar trip. Ours will include Cape Cod, Acadia and then into NS, Cape Breton and PEI. The info from your thread appears very useful.
