New North West Georgia State park

Getting ready to pull out of the yard and go north.
Heading to the newest park in Georgia ,Chattahoochee bend camp ground.

Grand opening July 1st.

It's kinda cool to be able to stay where nobody's stayed before..

Anyone else get on the reservation list for this weekend?

Hey Wayne I agree that it is cool to be the first ones in a new park! I also think it's great that GA is adding a new park when a lot of states are not evenopening some of the ones they have!! Have a great time!

Well, the DW and I tried the new campground out ,Boy was it hot!!!

In a few years when the trees they planted to replace the ones they chopped down grow up ,it will be a nice park . all the grass and 80% of the trees were removed to build the park . the sites are large and level ,have 50 and 30 amp service . no black connection. They have seeded new grass ,but the lack of rain and no shade has not helped. At least if there was some green grass it may not have been so hot.

We had reservations until the 4th ,but had to leave early because of the heat.

We are now at Pine Mt. resort under a shade tree.
