Heading out for New Orleans and assume that the KOA East is no longer, no phone/web. Anyone have any recommendations besides KOA West?
Thanks

KOA east is now http://www.neworleanseastkampground.com/
I'm not sure about how nice it is but it was wiped out by Katrina. Other options would be Fountainblue State Park,Mandeville, La. Fairview River Park, Madisonville, La., French Quarter RV resort, New Orleans and Bayou Segnette State Park in Westwego, La.
Try http://www.rvparkreviews.com/r...ana/New_Orleans.html for further info.

Rather pricey for my tastes, but have you tried the French Quarter RV Resort?
I think there is also one called "Lake Ponchatrain" rv park or resort.

If you use New Orleans East Kampground, take plenty of bug spray for around your coach. Little spiders and other creepy crawlies were rampant. Also keep an eye out on the voltage. I believe they run on the low side.

RonK, We will be visiting NO in June. I received a lot of great information from my inquiry. Search back a page or two to find my thread of really great advice. We will stay at Pontchartrain RV Park.
