New Orleans River Cruise

Has anyone compared the river cruises'. Natchez or the Creole, I see the prices and cruise time are about the same. Food and Jazz Band, which has best???

We took a swamp tour out of Slidell. Don't remember which one, but it was incredible!!! Did one of those couple hour riverboat cruises out of NOLA up to an old military complex. Okay. Nothing compared to the swamp tour.

Swamp tours are very good. River cruise is good, make it a dinner cruise if they are still doing that.

The swamp tour and the river tour are two different animals. Yes, take the Natchez - a real paddlewheeler. Very good tour, and no, I don't know the prices - not cheap, but you do get your money's worth. And the swamp tours are good as well.

We did the luncheon cruise last Spring. As already posted, expensive but worth it to ride the last of the real steamboats. If you go, go a little early to hear the steam caliopy being played on the roof of the boat.
