New RV park near Medford, OR

My wife and I drive by the Jackson County Expo park near Central Point, OR on our way to our RV storage place. We have been watching work going on for months. Just the other day we noted that it looked like an RV park being built. In today's Medford Mail Tribune "Since You Asked" column the answer was provided.

Jackson County is building a new 92 space RV park beside the Jackson County Expo grounds. It is expected to be open by July 1st. This will provide another option for overnighting in addition to Valley of the Rogue State Park and Holliday RV park in Phoenix.

Just great, another RV Park on a major Interstate.

Fred,

Not my cup of tea either. There are a lot of our friends traveling from WA, BC, CA and AZ that need overnights and the Rogue Valley is one of the places they are looking. It has become more important since Medford shut down camping at the two local Walmarts.

Am I missing something?
Rv park , a new one, is opening and it's not good?
Was this a bird sanctuary or something?
Whether I use it or not, someone will.

You are correct, it's just seems like if you are a light sleeper you don't have much choice. We stay south of Medford, next to the interstate, however the traffic doesn't bother us.

Valley of the Rogue State Park is our choice for a spot to stop. Nice and quiet and there are pull thru sites plus full hookups.
