New RV Parking with electric at Ohio Turnpike

Just got back from trip to NYC and discovered new RV overnite pkg with elec. 50 & 30 amp hookups at Ohio Turnpike Plazas on I 80. They also have dump station and water available for $20. Spaces are not very long but a great way to extend a day of driving, hope other states will follow. This area is away from truck parking area.

Used the Ohio Turnpike last year. Picked up ticket entering and paid getting off. Does accept E-Zpass. Service plazas have separate area for overnight RV parking , elec and water, dump station. Areas on the right just after entering the rest area, well marked.. Overnight charge ($20) but none for parking during the day..Includes picnic area. and pet walk.. http://www.ohioturnpike.org/wp-conte...eneralinfo.pdf

I noticed the sites also on the I-90/80 sections of the Turnpike. Do you just pull in and go inside to register? I'd love to see that on other toll roads.

There is a ticket machine on site just insert your money take the ticket and put it in your windshield. Two vehicles per spot, and it is posted no parking I think like from 10AM to something like7ish but it sure does not seem to be enforced. Don't quote me on the exact time.

I will never understand why Hotels along highways dont provide this. Maybe 4 or 6 spots. It would entice rv'ers to use their hotels when not in coach. They could charge $20 easy for just elec and water. Campgrounds have offered cabins for years so it is not like they are infringing .
