New worst campground award!

I think we have a record setter for worse camground in the world. Emerald Trails in Crete, it takes the cake. Rude, incompetent and all around lousy conditions. We both will not use the restroom facilities due to uncleanliness. Not a little dirty but filthy. Bad power at the connections, one with no neutral and the other burned. I could go on but you get the picture. The setting would make a great RV park with a little attention but $35 a night for this is crazy.

Do yourself and stay away, far away.

Phil

Crete is south of Chicago. After we arrived I finally noticed there were plenty of decent looking campgrounds in Indiana.

I did post a review on RV Parks. Unfortunately we are stuck here until Monday the 3rd of June. I sure wish we had looked a bit longer before settling on this place.

Just a quick follow up, this morning the power pole failed completely. I had brought the problems with it to the owners attention on our first day and got not much of a response. After 4 days of no action, both 30A outlets would no longer work. Not a good situation with almost $4000 worth of medication in the fridge. They did finally get it repaired but we are counting the hours until we can leave this place. It is too bad that this place has fallen into such disrepair as the setting, lake and trees are quite nice.
