Newly Hatched Snowbirds

Hi, we're from Kansas, are seasoned RV'ers (since the early 70's). We have recently retired and ready to spend the winter around Phoenix. Has anyone stayed in the winter months at a park on the Colorado River? We love being around water, but not sure what activities would be going on in the winter months. Advice?

We haven't stayed at a RV park on the Colorado River but have used the nice state parks. You mentioned Phoenix.... Lake Havasu City on the Colorado is 200 miles from Phoenix if you were planning to do anything in Phoenix.
