We'll be in Niagara Falls in the future. My parents will be with us, and my dad is handicapped. I noticed that the Niagara Falls KOA has some motel rooms. Has anyone ever seen those? If so, would they work for a person in a power wheel chair? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Cajun

The Niagara Falls KOA is unreasonably priced for their sites. Don't remember if there was a close motel or not tho they do have the cabins. If you are crossing over into Canada (need passports for return to USA) there is a KOA which is close in to the Falls and another campground right by it. Much cheaper and more convient. Niagara KOA also partially floods during heavy rain

Hi Cajun,
This year will be my first staying on the American side of the falls. I chose the AA Royal Motel & CG. Contact number is 716-693-5695. The TL directory rating is 7.5 or higher.

I avoid KOA's like the plague. They are over priced dumpy places. They are also the ones pushing the cities and towns to ban WalMart RV parking.
I would rather park overnight between an interstate and an active railroad than patronize a KOA.

We stayed in the KOA Grand Island campground last summer and found it to be very nice, I would stay there again. In the past 10-15 years ago I have stayed at KOA's and would agree many of them were dumps.

This past summer on a long trip from the west coast to Cape Cod we stayed at a number of KOA's and most were very nice. Here is a photo of our campsite.
