Niagra Falls Campgrounds

Hello Everyone,

We are planning to pass through Niagra Falls in August for 2 nights.

Can anyone recommend campgrounds on the US side that are big rig friendly?

We have been to the area prior to owning the RV so we are aware of all the fun places to see but have never taken the motor home (45'); we'd love some input on this.

Thank you all in advance.

Leslie & Stuart

Not sure what you consider big rig friendly. Ours is a 37' Class A diesel pusher pulling a 4dr Wrangler. There were plenty of large "A's" there along with huge 5er's.

We stayed at Four Mile Creek State Park. It is right on Lake Ontario and just about 15 min. from the border bridges into Canada. Our stay was 4 or 5 nights. I don't remember which. We booked a site with electricity. There were no full hookups. There are plenty of places to top of your fresh water tank or dump your grey/black tanks before making camp.

Should we be in the area again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Sunsets over Lake Ontario were fantastic.

We have stayed at four mile and it was OK. Also stayed at KOA on the island and it was good. Best for us was across the border and don't remember - maybe that was a KOA.
