Nice Place Close to Las Vegas Motor Speedway

We are going to the Red Bull Air Races next month. Do any of you know of a nice resort/RV Park close to the Raceway? We are looking for a reasonably nice place but comfortable. The race takes place one week after my chemo treatment so I want to be able to relax if needed. Also, would be nice if they provide a shuttle bus so I won't need to bring the toad. Thank you, God Bless and safe travels!

No shuttle but reasonably close to the speedway, I'd check out the Clark County Gun Club. although they say it's for shooters, The wife and I spent 10 days at the shooting range in Nov. Gated at night, goes dark at 10pm and your overlooking the down town of Vegas and all it's lights. It is in the flight path for the Nellis base. There is a bbq rest on site that opens Thur, Fri Sat. and is open for breakfast on weekends. Really resonable priced. It's about 15-20 min drive to the track.

We stayed at the Hitchin' Post RV Park near the race track. It was just for a night as we transitioned from I15 over to 95 going north towards Death Valley and wanted to avoid Las Vegas proper using 215 going west. It was okay and had a convenient restaurant right next door... HOWEVER, it is also right under a flight path for Nellis Air Force Base, which, if the wind and/or exit (like in take off) flight path has been routed that certain way, jets will take off right over the park AND THEY WILL BE LOW... I found it interesting for a few fly bys, but by evening it was old hat and we thought about abandoning the park and our overnight fees And finding something quiter... At right about dusk, I could hear the loudest of all the planes up to that point heading towards us. I jumped out of the RV to take a look just as what I think was an F22 in full afterburner mode flew directly over me and left me looking directly up into the afterburners as it exited Nellis... I knew it was loud, but it was not until the F22 was well off in the distance that I noticed all the car alarms in the area were going off... NOW THE GOOD NEWS... that was the last plane of the night...

If you have access to military facilities, Nellis FamCamp is just down the street.

Did you check what they have right at the track? They have many areas for RVs.

Many thanks to all that have responded. I decided to reserve a spot at the KOA at Sam's town. We've stayed there in the past and it is clean and nice park with the benefit of being next door to a Casino. It isn't as close as I wanted but it will work. I do not believe the raceway allows RV during the air races but I'll check it out so I'll have the information for next year.
