Nice place in Las Vegas
Looking for a good place to stay in Las Vegas with full hookups. Taking the new girlfriend on her first rv trip and dont want her to be discouraged by having a bad first experience. So... Looking for something that is not just a big concrete parking lot. Anything from nature camping feel to resorty amenities, just not a big parking lot. Distance from the strip is not that crucial as I have a TT and can travel to the strip using he TV. Thanks!

Sams Town on Boulder Highway isn't to bad. Interesting things at that casino and they have a shuttle to the strip.

Terrible's in Parhump one of the nicest RV parks in the Country. I stayed at the KOA at Circus Circus two months ago. It is a parking lot. But they do have lots of amenities.

We have a one night reservation at the Oasis RV resort never stayed there but thier web pageand reviews look good at least the have grass and a large pool. Have stayed at the Hitching Post Friendly folks but not much more than one step better than a parking lot.

Here's a site listing reviews of RV parks in Vegas:
RV Park Reviews :: Las Vegas, Nevada ( NV ) - RV Parks and Campground Reviews
Many folks seem to like the Oasis E of I-15 on Blue Diamond Rd and Arizona Charlie's on Boulder Highway

Arizona Charlies has all concrete level pads plus 24 hour security patrol. Located on Boulder Hyw with city bus to strip (aprx 2 mile). Don't even think about finding a park place around the strip for a TV. Sams Town is just down the road from AZ Charlies and did have a few trees but mostly blacktop/pea gravel if remember correctly. Can't go wrong with either and whole lot cheaper than places like Circus Circus

The Oasis is nice if you pony up for the better sites. If you are on a budget you get parked in the back stacked in front to back with your neighbor or up against the wall next to the freeway. We had a bad experience with them so I refuse to go back.

We have stayed at the Oasis twice and had a good experience both times. They do have different site price points and it would pay to make your reservation over the phone so you can figure out which level and location best suits your needs.
FWIW,

I have visited a few parks in Las Vegas back when my Daughter Lived there.
Covered wagon on Bolder HWY.. We decided not to stay there, Rigs are packed in like sardines and they have a 10 year old limit, even though my rig was new, I parked elsewhere.
Oasis, (Mentioned up thread) is very nice, Harras (I think) has an interest so they run shuttles from the park to their hotels and casinos. If not Harra's then one of the other chains.
Circus Circus KOA, now this is a KOA but at lest the wi-fi is free. To get to the strip from there.. Cross the driveway.. I'm not kidding.. This used to be the casion lot.
Hitchin-Post.. Nice, gates, however no vacencies whien I was there
Main Street Casino.. Nice, decent price, this is in bck of theCaliforian, hard to spot less you have been given directions, walking distance from Freemont Street Expierence (Main St and Calforian are both Freemont casinos) Downside, Freeway (elevated) exit ramp next door as is Fire Dept and bus terminal. This is a "Bad" part of town but they do have on site security who will escort you back to your rig after dark.. I liked it nd if I return to vegas will return there.
Hidden Village (next to Thousand Trails Las Vegas on Bolder) Was nice as well, basic parking with a pool, however I think they went bust as I don't recall seeing any rigs there last time I drove past, this was, however 2007 so it may be back now.
