Florida, in the winter, can be difficult. Places are filled. However, we are navigating our way through quite nicely.

There is a park that we would love to stay at. It is Gator RV park n 41 in the everglades. They do not take reservations.

What is, in your experience, the best day and time to show up at a park that takes no reservations?

We are obviously avoiding the typical weekend check-in.

I would call them and ask that question. We do that a few days before we arrive and the CG can usually tell us how booked they are .

Sure glad everything is working out for you. Yes, navigating this time of the year can get testy without reservations at times. I know the park we're in finally filled the 1st of Feb. which I thought was a little unusual. Seemed a little late to me.

We're doing the same and anticipate no major problems. We looked at Gator Park too, but with the weather looking good, probably not go that far south. Looks like the Nat park today in Ocala.

The park where I am at present just filled up (the space next to mine, go figure) last week. I never gave much thought to all the people who vacate the North during winter! Who's left up there anyway?
