No smoking ???

I didn't know that there was such a thing as a no smoking campground.....

Would that mean that they wouldn't or don't allow campfires also ??

I’ve seen both no-campfire loops and campgrounds, and some no-smoking.

We just passed a billboard advertising no-smoking planned communities - I had never heard of that:

Is a Campground Smoking Ban Coming to Your Favorite Park? - RV Life

It’d be nice if there were easier ways for folks to find campsites meeting their preferences. I have seen (individually, never all together) no alcohol, no kids, no pets, no outdoor lights, no tents, nothing but tents, etc.

We need to also find No Alcohol permitted campgrounds. Booze kills more than tobacco, and a lot more and often. If folks raised as much h--- about booze as they do tobacco, a lot more people would be alive today.

Takes a whole lot of 'smoke' to make one as stupid as booze does in an equal length of time.....

There are tons of “no public alcohol consumption” campgrounds (many if not most of the public parks, to start).

Boy, it’d be interesting to try to regulate that in the campers, though. Thinking about it, I’d guess just *calling* the place 100% alcohol free would probably keep away 99% of the rowdies / abusers, right? It’s a thought!

Here in NJ there are many public beaches that do not permit smoking on the beach. It has less to do with the smoke then the butts and mess left behind.

Stupid, I agree....but, if folks would stuff the butt back into the pack, there'd be no problem....

For those who have allergies, the effects are immediate. If you can make the comparison to alcohol, you can also make it about guns. Nevertheless, not everyone who drinks gets drunk. Some people do things responsibly.

The USA gets struck by approx 20 Million lightning strikes per annum, resulting in over 24,000 fires, about 20,000 of which are brush or forest fires. I suspect this activity puts a fair dent in your right to a smoke-free environment.

Now p*ss off and leave me the hell alone!!!!
