North Dallas, TX

looking for recommendations for RV parks north of Dallas, TX. Big Rig friendly and north of Dallas, TX to stay out of the Dallas traffic mess. Even NE of Dallas is good.

Ditto on Vineyards. Also, depending on how far north you're thinking, the KOA in Durant, OK at the casino is really nice, as is the park at Winstar casino. Both about an hour north of Dallas.

The Vineyards.

We used to stay there while visiting daughter when it was a Corp of Engineer park.

The Corps parks may be back open on Lake Lavon.
The Vinyards is nice but it's on the southwest side

You may want to take a look at Hidden Cove RV, on the east side of Lewisville Lake. Basically on the southwest edge of Frisco.

Not sure if it meet your needs, but perhaps an alternative. They do have monthly rate, maybe weekly ... you’d have to call them. Good access to Dallas North Tollway and Sam Rayburn Tollways.

Shady Creek RV Park just north of Frisco, off hwy 380. Pretty sure it's a sister park to The Vineyards.

Not a 100% fan of Hidden Cove. Very convenient to Frisco for when my daughter moved there. Reservation paid in full. Cancelation policy only gives park credit. Tends to be muddy, and not the normal mud. This stuff clumps up and sticks to everything. Can get loud on weekends. If it matters, cell service was poor.

We were there for a week and I don't recall plane noise as a problem.

Jet noise is not bad. Yes you will here aircraft occasionally but the new jet engines are pretty quiet plus DFW airport has noise abatement rules in place.
