I'd like to take my family camping this Thanksgiving. Anyway we enjoy the cooler weather that heading a little north provides over Central Fl. We have stayed at Stephen Foster, Navarre, Abby Hanna, Manatee and St Andrews. We've only stayed in North Ga or overnight spot's in Ga. We would prefer to go no further north than Macon.
Any ideas will be appreciated!

Hi wardy,
Consider this place. Go to The Farmers Opry | Chumuckla's Premier Restaurant and Entertainment Venue and check it out. In addition to the CG and entertainment being all in one place, a short drive to Pensacola brings one to the Naval Air Museum, There is Gulf Islands National Site near the Air Museum. A drive to Mobile. AL and you'll find the USS Alabama WWII Battleship along with other military ships and planes on display. There is a 52 bomber. For me, I thought the 52 was awesome. A really large airplane.

Have you tried Jekyll Island State Park, GA?
Jekyll Island Campground
Or the Georgia Veterans State Park?
Georgia State Parks - Georgia Veterans State Park
Or Lake Tobesofkee?
Camping At Lake Tobesofkee
All of them have good access roads.

My favorite campgrounds in North Florida are all Florida State parks.
Fort Clinch State Park (tough to get reservations)
Welcome to Florida State Parks
Falling Water State park
Welcome to Florida State Parks
Suwannee River State Park
Welcome to Florida State Parks
Stephen Foster State Park (my #1 favorite)
Welcome to Florida State Parks
Out of the three I like Stephen Foster the most. Great park to walk around, ride a bike or just relax and listen to the bell tower. I know you've been there, but it's tough to beat.
And for what it's worth I'm a native Floridian who's been all around the park system.

Wardy,
Since you own a Tiffin Bus you might want to check out Topsail. There are usually a lot of Tiffin owners there. Check out this site:
TiffinRVNetwork
Go to the forum and type in Topsail in the search area.

Another vote for Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. It's a nationally top ranked park and there will be a bunch there for Thanksgiving. Reserve now or you probably won't get a spot. Topsail has full 50 amp hook-ups and cable.
St Andrews SP in Panama City Beach is nice but it only has electric and water w/dump station.
Belle Terra in Foley, AL., is outstanding and I'm sure that they'll have some festival parties planned.

The park is about an hour and something from Savannah. It's all 4 lane and an easy trip.
I stayed at Blythe Island last year for a month and it's a nice park.
