Northern California RV Parks

Hello All

Would very much appreciate recommendations on finding a suitable extended stay park. I just accepted a job on a project north of Sacramento. Actually its between Yuba City & Wheatland. Never been to that area of CA, so I have zero knowledge of the RV facilities. I'm going to be out there 15 October. Need to make reservations pretty quickly. We have a CS 3610. Will be hauling a car on a trailer. Thanks......David

Just went to Google Maps, centered in on Wheatland and searched for RV Park.

About 8 various places came up around that area and Yuba city.

I use the "RV PARKEY" app, free to download and has served us well between Alaska and Florida, has list of the services and reviews with pictures of a lot of RV Parks as well as the rates and phone numbers.

If your jobsite is west of the feather river. Try Lake Minden in Nickolas, if east of the river try Sycamore Ranch in Browns Valley. I am a local, there are not many choices.
There is park on Live Oak Blvd in Yuba City but I can't remember the name.
You building the casino?
Can the contractor set up a camp on site?
Good luck, contact me if you need anything.

Many thanks for the info. Yessir, we will be on the casino owners team. Camp on site really doesn't do well.

Thanks, we just might need some local help when we get there...... David

I think the only real choice is Lake Minden RV resort. You can use some great backroads to drive to work.
Will you be able to check anything out before moving here?
Let me be the first to welcome you to Superior California.

Maybe a Wal-Mart is close by? My local Wal-Mart has had 2 class C's parked in the corner of the lot for at least 6 month's. They must move once in awhile, I drive by at least 2 times a week and their both parked in the same vicinity but I can tell that they have moved a bit. I'm kidding about you staying their. But it sucks that people take advantage of it.

When you said Sacramento I was going to suggest 49er RV park in Plymouth. Until last Dec. We've had a vacation trailer their for around 25 years. Very nice park. But too long of a drive too Yuba City.
Good luck with the new job!

We just spent as month in Flag City, Lodi. Lots of long term people. Especially for IBEW brothers.

After reading the other posts, this might be too far south for you.

No overnight in Walmart parking lots here.
I should ask how far do you want to drive every day?
If you don't mind a bit of a drive, check out Lake of the Springs RV Resort in Oregon House.
In the foothills, nice park.

We stay at Lake Minden over the winter being Thousand Trails members but the public is welcome as well. Only a few sewer sites but it's not bad. There is a KOA in West Sacramento which would add 30 minutes to your drive but opposite of the commute. Not many choices in that area. Once you get here you can maybe find something else around. You can pm me if you need anymore info! Welcome!

Not a lot of choices. Lake Minden has few full hook up and mostly 30 amps. Dusty getting in and out.

Yuba City has few choices but do check at Travel Home Park. They have very few spaces but is a very quiet place. Spotless. IF you get lucky to get a month long spot they can be a great choice for commuting to Wheatland/Lincoln. No large dogs so don't bother asking if you have one.

Lake Minded is easy enough via back roads to Wheatland etc.
