You can also use the pass in most Louisiana State Parks

My wife and i bought one of the passes when we went on a month long trip out west, even though we had to pay for it as we are not retired it still saved a load of cash gettin in to the parks alone. you can bet when we are old enough to get one we will.

Senior discount passes are available to all over age 62 regardless of service in the military. Military famcamps are usually for active duty, guard, reserves, retirees.

Some famcamps do take the discount passes for the aforementioned qualified users but not all do.

Some famcamps allow qualified users to take guests but not too many, especially popular spots.

Possession of a DD214 does not qualify for use of military facilities.

We stay quite frequently in military FAMCAMPS. FAMCAMPS for the most part come under DOD rules with some local exceptions. I would suggest aquiring the guide on military FAMcamps if you are retired military or active duty.
