I just made reservations for 3 nights in June, guess I should have asked here first about this campground but it looks pretty nice.

Anyone stay here before? How difficult would it be getting to the downtown Fremont St. area. I'm attending a reunion downtown but I don't know if I'll have a TOAD to take along.
Thanks?

We are at Oasis right now till 1/10. It is one of the nicer parks in Las Vegas with all the amenities. They have a shuttle bus that will take you downtown to the Tropicana and from there you can catch any public transportation mode you desire including the monorail that will take you to Charleston station. The "Strip" is 5 miles long so unless you are into walking a bunch, use the public transportation. Buses run about every 10-15 minutes.

Oasis has 30/50 amp, sewer, 55PSI waterpressure and phone hookups and concrete slabs at all sites. Figure on it being warm here at that time so use your airconditoner.

Jim, thanks for the very timely report. We have been to Las Vegas in June before but not in an RV; so I'm guessing the A/C will be running non stop.

Just in case of an mechanical failure; is there a RV repair facility in the area you would recommend?

Thanks again.

RV Express which is listed in the Oasis welcome packet. They are pretty decent folks to work with. Have a dog bone for his dog and you will have a friend for life.

Oasis office has been a zoo the last two weeks due to the holidays. New Years weekend was totally booked so perhaps the office is a little behind. I personally rely on phone calls as that way I have the confirmation #. If they then send the number, so much the better.
