Ocean Front along Outer Banks

Hello, any one have any recommendations?
We're looking for ocean front, outer bank's, n.c.
I've seen two, Camp Hatteras, and Camp Hatteras KOA.
Has anyone had any experience with either?
Thanks

If you have looked into the KOA , it is quite expensive, I spent a week there 2 years ago, I rode the island from one end to the other, even on the ferry to Ocracoke Island on my Harley, stopped at every campground and checked the all out.....The place I was staying at , was the best for me Ocean Waves Campground
If I were to return as I will some day, I would stay at Ocean Waves again.....If you don't need full hookups, the state has some really nice parks on the island.

Thank's, how far to the beach from ocean wave's campground's do you think it is? The beach will be a daily activity. Now is that the ocean beach or the sound side beach, I don't see any water on there web site?

Exclamation Ocean Waves

That is my bike hauler in the circle, my Coach is 3rd in on the left. The closer to the dune, the shorter the walk, there is a dune that protects the campground from the ocean and her bad weather, so it is just a really short walk, up and over a 12-15' high sand dune, and when on top of the dune......Ocean. I could here the ocean at night from my bedroom windows. The sunrise is wonderful!

Thank's I don't get that they are that close to the ocean from the web site info, also their site map is not real clear or precise.
What year's the Harley, I had an 04 Gold wing, my wife decide she no longer wanted to be a passenger so trade it for two left over 10 Honda's, mine 1300 Stateline, her's 750 Shadow now with only 892 mi.on her's she's done.
Thank's a lot

Exclamation Google earth for everything!

Here is a satellite photo of the campground back end, you can see the circle where my bike trailer was parked, and the short path to the beach..... 2006 Ultra Classic and a 1989 Springer...... You can see by the zoomed out photo, that it is not but a couple of minutes from anywhere in the campground to the beach........
In the second photo, that is the KOA in the top of the picture.......(click on photo to enlarge)

We're parked at Camp Hatteras right now thru the rest of the week. We love it here. I think this is our fifth trip here in the last 2-3 years. The weather is fantastic right now.
